COFFEEHOUSE

When: 3rd Friday of the Month

COFFEEHOUSE is a monthly gathering for adults with special needs that follows the model of Resurrection Lutheran Church to engage guests and recognize their dignity as members of the body of Christ. As the ministry has grown, several guests have become part of the “us” – welcoming new guests and building a community of belonging. We try to highlight the gift in each person to hold space for them to be a blessing for their peers. Whether it is leading the birthday song, praying, leading activities, or dancing, it is all with the intention of sharing the gifts of God in each one. Every gathering has a drum circle embedded in the center, as well as food and other engaging activities.

For more information, contact Tracey Singleton.

HOPE Ministries

When: Every Saturday

HOPE Ministries is a weekly outreach for those in our community who are experiencing challenges with housing where they can receive a cooked meal, warm shower, clothing (as donations allow), encouragement, and compassion. This interdenominational ministry shows how the body of Christ can come together. With a growing number of churches joining in the efforts, we have been able to befriend many more guests and stand with them in HOPE during challenging times when they are commonly ignored or mistreated.
